Founded in 2020, Atletico Atlanta seeks to revolutionize soccer in the USA.
The UPSL National Champion of 2020, with an incredible 21 wins in 21 games, Atletico Atlanta made its mark in Atlanta’s soccer history, becoming only the second team from the city to achieve a National Championship alongside MLS side Atlanta United. The team finished the 2020 National Championship with a perfect record 21-0-0, no draws and no defeats.
In addition to their 2020 National Championship, the club has also earned three UPSL Regional titles and the 2021 NISA Nation Championship.
The club’s goal is to offer a better future for those who dream of becoming professional soccer players. Atletico Atlanta has developed its own work philosophy, where the opportunity to reach the next level is a reality. Every player has their own ambition, with some aiming to go pro, while others aspire to play at the collegiate level while pursuing a university degree. Today, the roster includes professional and semi-professional players, as well as student-athletes from universities across the country.
The club’s fast growth and achievements began arousing interest even from national team players, such as Deon McCaulay, current top scorer for the Belize National Team. Deon had an impressive accomplishment with his country, when scoring 11 goals in the Qualifying stages for the 2014 World Cup, same amount as world stars Robin Van Persie and Luis Suarez. Our captain, Jeffrey Otoo is another great example of success. Former Atlanta United player Jeffrey was one of Atletico Atlanta’s pillars in the National Championship campaign.

Silverbacks Park in Georgia is renowned as one of the premier soccer facilities in the state. Located in Atlanta, it features top-notch amenities tailored for soccer enthusiasts and competitive play. The stadium has a seating capacity of approximately 5,000, making it suitable for hosting local and regional matches, as well as various soccer events and tournaments.
Its quality turf fields, professional-grade lighting, and well-maintained grounds make it a favored location for both amateur and professional matches. Additionally, the park’s facilities cater to players and spectators alike, offering a great environment for training, game-day experiences, and community events. The stadium has also hosted various league matches and served as a home venue for several soccer teams over the years, reinforcing its reputation in Georgia’s soccer scene.

METHODOLOGY

Our method of teaching soccer is based on the principals of Johan Cruyff and Pep Guardiola.

Players will be exposed to these philosophies and styles of play, promoting them to evolve their way of thinking.

We believe that the most important thing is to make sure the players are intelligent in their decision making process in game situations.

Ball movement in order to create spaces in the opposition defensive structure, and movement off the ball are key elements to our strategy.
